Mission
To maximize our patients' likelihood of recovery and growth by offering inpatient and outpatient mental health services in a safe, caring, and professional manner.
We accept voluntary and involuntary adult men and women (18 years and older).
Individualized Care
No two patients are alike or require the same type of treatment. That's why we offer multiple options for the patient. Inpatient Stabilization and a myriad of outpatient treatments are available to meet the diverse needs of our patients. Ongoing evaluation of the patient's response to treatment helps determine the proper level of care.
Visiting Hours
- Monday through Friday, 7-9:00 p.m.
- Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, 2-4:00 p.m. and 7-9:00 p.m.
Only two (2) visitors are allowed at a time.
Our Professional Team
Only through a collaborative approach with a multi-disciplinary treatment team can the individual needs of the patient be addressed. Directed by the patient's psychiatrist, the treatment team coordinates care to assure patients' needs are being addressed and treatment goals are being met. The team members include:
- Psychiatrists
- Psychologists
- Social Workers
- Registered Nurses
- Occupational/Recreational Therapists
- Nutritionists
In addition, because St. Francis is a major medical center, other specialists are available to address other medical needs.
We're Here When You Need Us
Licensed mental health professionals are available 24 hours a day, every day, through our Crisis Line (888-220-4779). The nature and severity of the problem can be determined and referral assistance provided.
In addition, St. Francis Medical Center provides a Psychiatric Evaluation Team (PET) that conducts mobile evaluation services by licensed mental health professionals. The Behavioral Health Services department can be reached at (310) 900-8210.
