Giving to St. Francis
About Us

The St. Francis Medical Center Foundation was founded in 1983 as a non-profit corporation to meet the philanthropic needs of St. Francis Medical Center. The purpose of the Foundation is to encourage, receive, administer and disperse donated funds. The charitable donations and bequests help to underwrite the cost for new equipment, the modernization and expansion of SFMC's facilities and the highest quality health care services and community outreach programs. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees, whose members serve without compensation.

The St. Francis Medical Center Foundation works to follow through with a Promise to donors, patients, staff and the community. This Promise is to provide resources that will ensure that St. Francis Medical Center is able to bring dignity to life in Los Angeles. The Foundation raises funds through grants, special events and individual donors who are committed to making a difference in the Los Angeles community through St. Francis.

"St. Francis is not only an outstanding medical center and the only trauma center for miles around (God forbid you should be hurt in an accident on the freeway, but if you were, you would likely end up at St. Francis Medical Center and be in very good hands).

St. Francis brings hope and dignity to the extremely poor and underserved community of Southeast Los Angeles through a range of programs that serve as an economic engine for an area that has few rays of hope.

I support St. Francis because they bring dignity to life in L.A., and I'd like to encourage you to support St. Francis as well."
-Mr. Marcos Frommer, Trustee, SFMC Board of Trustees
